The food web of the Pacific ocean is not a complicated one, like most of the oceans food webs it has it base with the phytoplankton. Then moving up its the zooplankton, then the filter feeders like some whales, and other types of fish. Then its your low level predators, like squids and larger fish. Then at the top there are sharks, tuna, and marlin. But with the introduction of plastics to the environment the whole web is thrown off, there are animals like turtles that eat jellyfish and try to eat plastic bags because they look the the tasty jellies that they love to eat. The same thing happens with seafaring birds that eat the plastic because of their colors and even feed the plastics to their young, who die with bellies full of the plastics and not the fish they need to survive.
